Registration:
Class listings include any requirements necessary to attend the class such as experience. No one can participate in any event, class or workshop at Glass Firenze without having a Glass Firenze Liability Waiver on file. With Beadmaking 101 or 201 classes if you meet all the necessary requirements you may register for your class online and pay via PayPal. You may also register for the class by "Contacting Deborah." Special Guest Teacher classes are not usually available for registration online to avoid overbooking.
Payment Beadmaking 101 or 201:
Payment in full is due at registration.
Payment Special Guest Teacher Classes:Each class lists the deposit amount and when the balance will be due. Some classes require payment in full. Some classes have additional fees such as "Teacher Provided Supplies Fees," and/or "Studio Provided Supply Fees." The class page will tell you what fees are due and when.
You can register and pay for some classes online through the
"Boutique" paying via PayPal. I also accept cash, personal check, or credit card at the studio. If paying by check, I will hold your class seat for one week to allow mailed checks suffcient time to arrive. If payment is not received in time your seat may be released to another person.
If you do not want to pay using PayPal and the online shopping cart system please "Contact Deborah" directly.
Cancellation and Reimbursement Policies:
If Glass Firenze cancels the class for any reason and can not reschedule the class you will receive 100% refund by the method that you originally made your payment. If you need to cancel for any reason there are no refunds or studio credits. If you must cancel and we are able to fill your seat with another student you will receive a full refund less a $50.00 cancellation fee (it's a lot of extra work to fill an already filled seat) once the new students fees are paid in full.
Liability Waiver: You must sign or have on file at the studio a "Glass Firenze Liability Waiver," a copy will be provided for your review before class registration is completed. Some guest teachers may also require your signature on their own waiver which will be provided at registration.
Mailing Your Beads:
If you travel from out of state to attend a class, or fly or travel a long distance within the state to attend a class I will mail your last class day beads to you if you are unable to pick them up the next day.
If you live within the Anchorage or Wasilla/Palmer Boroughs and do not want to drive to the studio to pick up your beads you must pay a $15.00 deposit for shipment of your beads. That is a $10.00 time/gas/materials fee and estimated $5.00 for shipping. After your items have been weighed and shipping calculated I will return any part of the $5.00 not used to ship your items in your package.
Shipment of your items will occur within one week of your class ending unless I let you know that is not possible because of possibly leaving town directly following a class.
Thank you for understanding that making commitments to local artists or bringing a guest artist to Alaska takes advance planning and financial commitment. It can be an expensive endeavor in which many aspects must be paid for well in advance. These strict policies are necessary so I may continue to provide us all with the wonderful experience of studying with the fantastic lampwork artists from Alaska and around the world.
If after reviewing our registration and cancellation policies you are ready to submit your request to register for a class please go to the "Boutique" to pay online or click "Here"to email me your request or call 907-726-1080.
Thank you for your patronage!
And Happy Torching!
