~ Studio Hours ~
"In General" - this is a very important note to note... ;-) lol
The Studio is Open
Thurs. & Fri. 5:00pm to 9:00pm* **
Saturday 1:00pm to 6:00pm* **
Sunday 1:00pm to 6:00pm* **
This is a "Private Residence Studio" - First visits are by appointment only. Please call 907-726-1080 or email to set up a Studio Tour
** If the Eagle River Temperature is -0 F or lower for sheer economics and environmental consciousness the studio will not open for "Open Studio Hours." In most cases I will open the studio for scheduled special workshops and events despite the weather. You may find the current temperature below. If in doubt please call ahead or check the "Studio News" for any updates.
*If no one is in the studio already torching, I will close at 7:00pm. So, if it is 6:30pm and you were thinking of coming in "Please Call Ahead" to make sure I will stay open. If no one is there I often start shutting things down at 6:30pm so I can walk out the door by 7pm.
There will be exceptions to my "General Open Studio Hours" as when I have visiting Guest Teachers, Other Classes and Workshops, or if I need a specific day off, etc. My studio is a "One Woman Show" :-) and given that I can not be in all places at all times I may need to close the studio now and again.
Whenever possible I will post a closure in the "Studio News" if I know the night before. Planned closings will be noted on the "Event Calendar."
TO ASSURE I AM OPEN AND TO SAVE YOU A TRIP IT IS ALWAYS BEST TO CALL AHEAD 726-1080 - If you've corresponded with me by email ahead of time with the day and times you will be in the studio I will of course be there waiting for you. BUT, if I haven't heard from anyone and something important comes up I may close to take care of that business so again, calling ahead saves you time and assures my staying put in the studio. :-)
Also, Please keep in mind that I am a working artist/studio owner... if you pop into the studio I may be on the torch. If you need me to be readily available because you want to purchase supplies or want to tour the studio please call ahead 726-1080 and I will coordinate my torch time to accommodate your need. :-)
If you are new to the studio you must be aware of a few rules... one is there is no participation in the studio without signing a liability waiver. If you are an experienced lampworker and have never been to the studio before and would like to torch here please contact me and I will send you the waiver to review. If you do not have lampworking experience but would like to find out more, please call and I will be happy to arrange a tour of the studio. You must be 18 years of age to participate at the studio unless you are accompanied by your parent. You must be at least 14 years of age to study at the studio while being accompanied by your parent.
If my "General Studio Hours" do not fit into your schedule let me know... I want to know where the time need is greatest to see if I need to adjust my studio hours...
I realize there are some strict guidelines but again, I am a one woman show and I have a very tight schedule. If no one is in the studio and I have pressing matters I am going to close to take care of that and if you've asked me to open the studio just for you I'm rescheduling my other obligations and calendar just for you and need to be assured of a certain income for doing so. And if you've ever been to my studio you know it is a fun, inviting and comfortable atmosphere; because I want to keep it that way I like to make sure all my requirements are posted here so that there are no surprises. :-)

Directions:
The Studio is at my Residential Property in the detached garage building. Please keep in mind that there are kids and animals at play in the area and on my property so please drive slowly. And please pull forward in the parking area to make room for the next person. :-)
