Keeping in mind that this is a "By Reservation Only" studio - this is not a store front studio with walk-in hours.  One advantage to this is that I am better able to accommodate individual schedules.

 

Important Note:  All torching customers of Glass Firenze must sign a liability waiver before any instruction or torch time rental may be scheduled.  You may contact me at 726-1080 to schedule an appointment to tour the studio and review the liability waiver or request that I email you the waiver.

You must be 18 or older to rent Torch Time or attend Classes at the studio.  With a parent present we welcome instructing children 15 or older but will do so only on a private lesson basis.  Once properly trained in lampworking safety and procedures those 15 or older may rent Torch Time if their Parent is present.

 

 

You must have a liability waiver on file, have at least 10 hours of torch time within the last 6 months and have completed a 1 hour studio safety and torch system session at the regular torch time rate.  If upon observation of your torching abilities I do not feel you have suffcient experience to rent torch time I reserve the right to stop or cancel your session.  If this were to occur I would be happy to schedule a Beginner's Session with you so you may be approved for Torch Time Rental.

 

 

I offer a lots of fun  "Bead Making 101" class to get you started on your glass bead making journey.  This is a 5 hour workshop which includes studio safety information, and a torch system review and instruction.  The fee is $100.00 and includes all supplies, glass, and protective eyewear.  After the 5 hour workshop I will evaluate your torching level and either recommend additional instruction or approve you for "Torch Time Rental."  Click on "Bead Making 101" for full details.

 

 

Torch Time Rental is $10.00 per hour for Soft Glass Torching
I reserve the right to put you on an Oxygen Concentrator System if studio attendance is below 3 people.

Torch Time Rental for Borosilicate Glass is $15.00 per hour which is on a Tanked Oxygen Torch.

 

You may purchase a soft glass "Torch Time Ticket" at $90.00 for 10 hours
Or a Boro Glass "Torch Time Ticket at $135.00 for 10 hours.

 

This includes, the use of a Mini CC torch run on propane and oxygen or an oxygen concentrator, a kiln to anneal your beads in, and a large selection of tools, molds and presses.

 

This does not include:  Any consumable supplies such as glass, frit, bead release and/or mandrels.  Although I currently offer two options on dipped mandrels.  You may purchase a pot of 20 pre-dipped mandrels for $5.00 (this does not mean you have purchased the mandrels themselves) or you can use as many mandrels as you'd like for free if you dip 1.5 times the mandrels you use during your torch time.  Mandrels are to be dipped after your torching session to keep the studio properly supplied for all clients. 

 

This also does not include the cleaning of your bead holes.  I do remove the beads from the mandrels which are available to be picked up within 24 hours of torching/annealing (unless otherwise indicated by schedule conflicts).
